Visa-Free Entry to Belarus for Citizens of European Countries in 2025

Who Can Enter Visa-Free?

1. Citizens of Lithuania, Latvia (including Latvian non-citizens):

   • Visa-free period: April 15, 2022 – December 31, 2025.

2. Citizens of Poland:

   • Visa-free period: July 1, 2022 – December 31, 2025.

3. Citizens of 35 European countries (Austria, Andorra, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vatican City, United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Hungary, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, Germany, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia), and stateless persons permanently residing in Estonia:

   • Visa-free period: July 19, 2024 – December 31, 2025.

Conditions for Visa-Free Entry:

• Entry/Exit Points:

  • Entry is allowed through any road or railway border checkpoint.

  • Exit is permitted through any road, railway checkpoint, or Belarusian airport.

• Duration of Stay:

  • For Polish, Lithuanian, and Latvian citizens (including Latvian non-citizens): up to 90 days from the date of entry.

  • For citizens of other 35 countries: up to 30 days from the date of entry.

  • General rule: no more than 90 days within a calendar year for all categories.

• Number of Entries: Visa-free entry can be used unlimited times until December 31, 2025.

Required Documents:

1. Valid passport (valid for at least 90 days after departure).
2. Medical insurance covering Belarus.
3. Vehicle liability insurance ("Green Card") (if entering by private vehicle).
4. Electronic control mark confirming disinfection payment (if required).
5. Proof of local fee payment (required only when exiting Belarus).

Registration:

• Citizens of Lithuania and Estonia (including stateless persons in Estonia). Must register with internal affairs authorities within 30 days of entry.
• Citizens of other 36 countries. Must register within 10 days at their temporary place of stay (hotels register guests automatically).

Restrictions:

1. Purpose of Visit: Visa-free entry does not apply to:

   • Employment, study, or obtaining a Temporary Residence Permit.

   • Transit to the Russian Federation (a visa is required for this purpose).

   • A visa must be obtained in advance for these purposes.

2. Transit to Third Countries:

   • Allowed through any checkpoint, except for transit to Russia.

Important Notes:

• Foreigners with a Temporary Residence Permit ("Dazvol na chasovae prazhyvannie") may leave Belarus only with a valid visa.

Visa-free entry simplifies tourism and business trips but requires strict adherence to stay durations and registration rules.
